Security Key

The security key app is an additional innovation introduced by Ledger. It allows you to use the Ledger with websites that support passkeys, two-factor (2FA), and multi-factor authentication (MFA).

Ledger Recovery Key

Ledger Flex comes with a Ledger Recovery Key: a small card with its own Secure Element chip that stores an extra backup of your 24 words. You hold the card against the back of the Flex and set a PIN. The backup is then written to the card via NFC. Lost or broken your Ledger? Restore access to your crypto by holding the card against a new Ledger with a touchscreen, such as the Flex or Stax, and entering your PIN. After three wrong PIN attempts the card wipes itself. Keep the Recovery Key alongside your Recovery sheet, not instead of it: the 24 words on paper remain your most important backup.
